Holiday Portrait Special – Toys for Tots Fundraiser

On November 21-22 and November 27-28 I am running a very special Winter Wonderland promotion at the studio. I have created an incredible Winter Wonderland set in the studio to shoot some very special photos of your family at some very discounted prices. Better yet this is also a fundraiser for Toys for Tots! Your session fee is a new unwrapped toy (minimum value of $20) that we will donate to Toys for Tots. Sessions will last 15 minutes and you will order your prints right after the session. I have created some special packages that start at just $65. What better present to give to your family and friends than photos of your little ones?
Sessions are by appointment only so call the studio today at (207) 729-9222.

My last wedding of the busy season this year saw the marriage of Diana and Adam at the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. It was a nice day, but a bit chilly and windy so its a good thing Diana and Adam are an outdoorsy couple. They both were determined to do everything possible to get great photos. Just as we were finishing up these beautiful clouds moved over the lighthouse. I literally begged them to stay outside for a few minutes! They of course did and we were all rewarded with one of my favorite photos of the year. Diana and Adam, thanks for being such a great couple.

I just received this wonderful recommendation from Emily and Stilian. They had an incredible wedding on Burnt Island in Boothbay Harbor this summer. I had posted some photos a few months ago in the blog so check them out.
We are so happy with our choice of having Greg Rice as our photographer for our wedding day. He is extremely talented and a true professional who did a spectacular job of photographing our ceremony and reception. His journalistic approach and ability to capture people’s expressions and emotions are so clearly displayed in his photos.
Greg is relaxed, easy-going, and funny, which put us at ease and made smiling for all of the formal poses a breeze. During the reception, Greg was unobtrusive and blended in with our guests while he snapped fabulous candid shots. We have received so many comments on how terrific Greg was at our wedding and how beautiful the photos are. The coffee table-style album that he designed for us truly tells a story from beginning to end. In many years from now when we flip through it, I am sure that we will be transported back in time to that wonderful day.
We absolutely love the photos and couldn’t be more happy with Greg’s superb work. We can honestly say that choosing Greg Rice was the best investment we made. Without any hesitation, we highly recommend his services!

Grace’s Mom has been bringing her into the studio for the last couple of years. For a little change we shot some photos by the water before the weather got too cold. As often happens with kids, my favorite photo was of Grace and her Mom on a swing after the official session was over!!!!

Congratulations to Gayle and Rejean who were married last weekend at the York Harbor Inn. The rain held off just long enough Friday evening for a small ceremony with immediate family in York Harbor. The next day they had a reception on family property on the Saco River. Rejean has 11 brothers and sisters, so the day was filled with family and friends. Congratulations to you both!

So its official, we’ve had more rain this summer than any other on record. Did Ken and Sarah let that stop them? No way! No this couple had plans for an incredible wedding on the water off of Deer Isle, a toast and cocktails at the Deer Isle Yacht club and then a reception at the Pilgrim’s Inn. Then tropical storm Danny decided to pay a visit. Did this stop Ken and Sarah? Nope. They decided to still get married in the pouring rain! It was actually a ton of fun and I will post more images toward the end of the week. Congratulations guys!

Surprise! Rain was threatening yet another wedding day this season. Rain or not Keriann was determined to have her wedding outside at the beautiful Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire. This resort just oozes elegance and was an incredible place. The views were incredible even with all the clouds. Keriann and Sean almost made it through their entire outside ceremony, but just at the end they decided to finish up inside. It was a great day and congratulations to you both!

I really Loved this photo. Its the final prayer before the first kiss. Notice how Sean is trying so hard to hold back and not kiss Keriann yet?

Between my years as a photojournalist and wedding photographer here in Maine, I have been to just about every corner of the state. One place I hadn’t been was to Presque Isle way up north in “The County”. It was a long drive, but also a lot of fun seeing a part of the state I had never been. John is a doctor at the hospital and he and Sarah meet a couple of years ago on his very first day of work. Sarah also works for the hospital and one of her many duties at the hospital is leading the new employee orientations. By Sarah’s telling of the story, this orientation was anything but boring and the two soon found reasons to bump into one another. One thing lead to another and the couple was married last weekend. Enjoy the photos.

Sarah’s son Jake was ring bearer.
